Dameyante is the name Eringarathe took when she first returned from exile. She was known thus:

Dameyante is a cunning, evil goddess, patient and calm, and it was she that facilitated the toppling of Imoiran from the throne of the Underworld. She serves vice and conflict, promoting the ill behavior of the weak minded, but does not allow her own followers to be swallowed up by it. She does not care for fools.

Dameyante is old beyond easy reckoning. She has ruled cities and magic, but now occupies the throne of the underworld. She does not suffer the careless or the hotheaded as her followers, for it is only through care and patience that she has persisted.

Though she was once powerful, she has been restrained by the Shadowlady Sere and the Magelord Ceremon. Her power is still great, but even she does not seek open war, unlike her predecessor Imoiran.

Dameyante's magical endeavors are conducted on the Moon, that she is constantly in the searing heat of the sun. This way, those who are still wary of her power may know what it is she does with it. Dameyante sits now on the throne of the underworld. She is carefully watched by the Shadowlady and the Magelord, lest her old ambitions drive her to attempt to take more power. At her right hand is her brother Arastar, the Master Assassin and Exiled Swan. At her left is Krital, representative of Ceremon, who ensures that Dameyante makes no moves that the Magelord would not allow.

Since the Orchid Fall, Dameyante returned to her name Eringarathe, and resumed her imperialist goals.
