Character
Galade is the Sixth Generation avatar of Naufana, goddess of truth, fate, and dreams. She is the embodiment of victory and beauty.
Origin
Galade is the daughter of Deliana and Deliana's avatar Maximillian. Concerned about Arastar and Eringarathe potentially corrupting her, Deliana hid Galade at Caer Carillon in Eburacon. Menw the enchanter raised her as his apprentice. She was told she was a normal human, and taught enough magic to account for anything peculiar she noticed about herself. While she developed magical skill easily, she was more interested in swordfighting, and quickly outmatched all of King Adam's knights. However, word of her accomplishments spread quickly, and Deliana was forced to find someone stronger to continue Galade's training. The goddess Naufana offered, provided Galade accepted her philosophy.
Since both focus on positive determination, there are strong ties between Naufana and Belekrom, which is likely to continue with his avatar Mapelias.
Ethos
Galade is good and honourable, and rewards those who achieve their goals through ethical means. Her mental strengths are divination and dream magic; she favours those who are physically strong as well.
Artifacts
She carries Elcyon the Protector. Elcyon was all that stood between Deliana and destruction in the ancient battle of which the legends speak. Her armor rent and her weapon destroyed, Deliana raised this shield and managed to parry the killing blow of her sister Eringarathe at the last.
