Maximillian

Deliana's avatar, Maximillian, had great natural powers even from birth. When he became an adventurer, Deliana visited him herself, despite being in hiding from Eringarathe. She gave him a tri-pointed gem as a tangible sign of her regard.

The gem protected Maximillian from evil, and allowed him to look into the souls of those around him. Deliana instructed him to achieve the greatest heights available to mortals, as if he did, she would make him a god that would govern her church while she personally fought Eringarathe.

All of the other gods tried to take the gem from Maximillian. Those who followed Eringarathe and Atrivis were told to kill him and take the symbol at all costs. Akalatan told his followers to steal it. Astolia simply offered an enormous reward. However, Maximillian showed great skill, and eventually became Deliana's avatar. Later they had a child together, Galade, who became the avatar of Naufana.
