Ravenn
From Hypercube
At some point in the past, though stories differ as to when, a volcanic eruption in the Serpent Mountains spat out a great jagged black stone of obsidian. The stone cooled slowly, and then before a gathering of uncertain size and unclear purpose, it split open. Within the stone was a lovely woman of slight build, with chocolate-dark skin and long silky hair. She seemingly gazed out upon the crowd, and they saw that her eyes were milky and blank. Yet she seemed to perceive them, and finally, eons or moments later, she sighed softly and murmurred, 'It is good to be free, finally.'
As Ravenn is a very private goddess, loath to speak anything that might disrupt the future by inadvertently revealing it, little is known about the full extent of her powers. However, a summit of Ceremon's most powerful thaumaturges came to the belief that Ravenn's uncanny abilities of divination and future foretelling were based in two things.
First, because Ravenn was imprisoned within the obsidian for an unguessably long time, her mental powers were honed to their utmost, in her hope for contacting someone that might free her. Over the years her eyes atrophied, leaving her physically blind, but her magical powers grew to the point where her ability to perceive was much greater than any might hope for.
Secondly, and this was borne out over the centuries of observing her, Ravenn was, unlike most, living backward in time. She became ever younger and less powerful, until finally, racked by the death screams of immortals in the Underworld coup, she died. She was replaced by Nyura, a deity imprisoned within the underworld, who was released when Imoiran was destroyed.
