Trecere
From Hypercube
When the goddess Ourania was slain by Arastar, it was necessary for a new god to be appointed to serve in her place. This god is Trecere, son of Ceremon and Carillon (not the Shadowlady as some have posited).
Trecere is silver tongued and well versed in magics, skilled in beguiling above all others. He represents both pleasure and pain, and has been known to be capriciously cruel and delicately gentle by turns. He embodies obsession, both of ambition and of physical desire. It is said that to gaze on his face is to lose a piece of your soul to him.
Trecere's lovers and conquests are legion, ranging from the nobility of the underworld to the children of the Faerie Queen Iolanthe. He is also a trickster god, as the lord of fortune, and delights in shocking the unsuspecting with both dizzying success and abject failure. His followers are more favored by luck, often raised to positions of astonishing influence.
Trecere's influence was disrupted in the Orchid Fall, and has been since replaced by Vade, god of laughter, sorrow, wine and tea.
